HAIG MILL LAKE PARK

Haig Mill Lake Park is the crown jewel of our lineup of parks around the Dalton area. The park includes a 3.5-mile walking/biking trail around the park, fishing piers, a boating dock for paddle boats and canoes, a picnic pavilion, an amphitheater/outdoor classroom, and a nature-themed playground.

HERITAGE POINT REGIONAL PARK

A 300-acre park including: 10 softball fields, a corporate pavilion for 500 with all amenities. Soon to be added; soccer / football fields, Junior League baseball fields, artificial turf soccer fields, tennis courts, walking / jogging trails .6 miles around each softball pod, and numerous picnic shelters.

DOWNTOWN DALTON VISITOR CENTER & HISTORIC FREIGHT DEPOT

The Dalton Freight Depot, located in Downtown Dalton, is the ideal place to capture images and video of these modern machines. Additionally, the depot has live audio feed from train radios and a live streaming web cam for online watchers. The Dalton Freight Depot is home to the Bandy Heritage Center, a display of historical collections from Northwest Georgia. Currently, the history of the textile industry in Dalton is on display. The Dalton Freight Depot is the location of the Dalton Welcome Center, operated by the Dalton Convention & Visitors Bureau and features a gift shop inside. The Depot is open from Monday-Saturday 9am-5pm.
